How to sell a number plate via Smashing Plates

1. Register an account with Smashing Plates
By selecting “place a for sale advert” or “place a wanted advert” you will be directed to the sign up screen. Here, enter your relevant contact information and password- then submit.

2. Complete details for number plate to sell / number plate wanted advert
Here enter the registration number, if the plate is on a vehicle or retention, its style and age (if applicable) select keywords and categories as appropriate and enter a brief description for the advert.

You may also upload a picture- up to 1MB in size to help visualise the real numberplate on a vehicle.

3. Pay and submit your advert.
As soon as you pay for any outstanding adverts in your Smashing Plates account, they are instantly added to the website and immediately viewable by all website visitors.

4. Edit, alter, improve
If you need to edit any part of the advert – apart from the registration number itself- you may do so in the “my account” section. You can change your advert as many times as you wish for free- and the plate will stay on the site until YOU remove it- there is nothing more to pay.
