DVLA Auction - January 2010

27TH, 28TH, 29TH January 2010 sees the first DVLA Auction for 2010. A collection 0f 1500 personal plates ranging from the unique (T3SCO) to the bizarre (KEB44B)

As usual the auction is being held in a picturesque location - the Haycock Hotel in Wansford, Peterborough - a central point for number plate buyers, lovers and collectors from up and down the UK.

So what to expect? as always there is one plate which promises to steal the show - “1 OOO” this rare and attractive dateless number plate has a reserve of just £8000 and promises to be another six figure star of the show.

A resurgance of “OOO” plates is a welcome change to this January’s DVLA plate auction as they have a distinctive look and exclusivity - other plates such as OOO848Y (£250 Reserve) and 27OO (£2900 Reserve) will also do well - not least in the latter as the plate looks like 2700 rather than twenty seven O O.

As usual we’ll be reporting on the highs and lows of the event as well as other notable sales and records broken. January’s DVLA auction looks set to match it predecessors both in sales and the quality of the plates on offer.
